  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Really well organised race with easily accessible parking facilities and amenities. The atmosphere at the start and finish was extremely encouraging and with plenty of runners in the field, you were never running alone.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Nice setting for start and finish, gravel though causing grip issues at the start and finish. Course is too much back and forth and would be better if it were a loop. The trail sections are problematic for road runners it's not the correct terrain for speed. It is a little too flat of a course, on a positive the staff were enthusiastic and friendly but there were very minimal spectators, another mention hats off to the saxophone man he was entertaining. The medals were brilliant and so was the shirt.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Flat, fast course though quite open in sections so no protection against any winds. Was well organised, plenty of marshals and great atmosphere.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Great fast course. Some gravel areas you need to take care on. Well organised. Lack of atmosphere on the airfield
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Very well organised event. Ample parking and toilets. The Marshalls were just fab! The course was a little dull around the airfield more than once but the hall, grounds and country roads were pretty.. Great medal and T-shirt, but as always on the latter would be great to have an XS option. Race village had a nice atmosphere with the music, along with muffins to die foe. A few more stalls maybe would add to the good vibes
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Really enjoyed the event there was a few times that it was a bit quiet which could have done with some form of support/entertainment however really well organised.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

The race itself was amazing, great support on the course with the Marshalls, signage etc!Great medal and organisation was fine on the day. However, the organisation and support before the day was appalling. I didnt receive a confirmation email even though the payment was taken from my account instantly, I emailed numerous times and left messages on Facebook still no reply. I wasnt on entry list and no one would get back in touch to help me. Its put me off doing this race again. I did it last year and had no issues. This year I was left disillusioned by it. Shame as its a great race.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

hosted at an excellent venue with a great set up. the course its self is okay reasonably flat, the Wind factor really does make this a tougher race than the elevation profile would suggest.only part i would change is the off road track around the outside of the air field very rutty and uncomfortable to run on in light weight road racing shoes. all in all a good Job though and my 2nd time at this race
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Awful surfaces to run on, from the start/finish pebbles through to the many potholes to avoid. Such a boring route too in and down a disused airfield. Will never return and advise others not to.
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Unbelievable event!! Very well organised from getting to the event, a very quick/easy bag drop & filing runners through at the start & end. Course was good, little bit of everything from flat with a few easy hills throw in. paths through the halls grounds, village roads, main roads, airfield and a dirt track for 1k. Will definitely be returning next year.
