Route information
Sole2Soul is bringing you an epic 3-part Leicestershire Round Series this year, where experienced ultrarunners can take on 1, 2, or all 3 of the legs through the stunning Leicestershire countryside.
The first leg is 53km long. It will be well-marked as the Leicestershire Round, as well as with Sole2Soul markets.
This event starts off at Burbage Common in Hinckley. From there you will pass through a number of small villages and towns to include Aston Flamville, Sharnford, Claybrook Magna/Parva, Frolesworth, Liere, Dunton Bassett, Ashby magna, Willoughby Waterleys, Peatling Magna, Bruntingthorpe, Sheersby, Saddington, Gumley, Foxton Locks, East Langton and Finish in Glooston Village Hall.
The route will be run on a variety of trails, with lots of challenging terrain and hills to keep things interesting. Please be aware that some spots on the route could be quite uneven on the foot and quite boggy at times. This event is recommended for experienced trail runners.

Climb: 560m (1850ft)
Checkpoints:
Checkpoint 1: Claybrooke Magna Primary School 13km (8 miles) - Equipped with water and sweets.
Checkpoint 2: Holt Lane, Ashby Magna 23km (14.5 miles) - Equipped with water, coke, flapjacks, fruit and a selection of sweet and savoury items.
Checkpoint 3: Back Lane, Shearsby 34km (21 miles) - Equipped with water, coke, flapjacks, fruit and a selection of sweet and savoury items.
Checkpoint 4: Park Close, Foxton Village 42.5km (27 miles) - Equipped with water, coke, flapjacks, fruit and a selection of sweet and savoury items.
The finish line at Glooston Hall will be equipped with water, coke, hot vegetable stew, flapjacks and a selection of cakes.
