Route information
From Cossington Village Hall you will pass through a number of small villages and towns to include Woodhouse Eaves, Newtown Linford, Markfield, Thornton, Bagworth, Nailstone, Shackerstone, Carlton, Market Bosworth, Sutton Cheney, Barwell, Burbage Common. Runners will finish with a home cooked meal at the Holywell Inn Pub in Hinckley.
The Leicestershire round route is way marked. The 56km course will also have Sole2Soul markers. Runners will be treated with stunning Leicestershire scenery as they complete the route, and are encouraged to take the time to absorb, photograph, and appreciate your surroundings.
Please be aware that you will also be running over different terrain and some spots on the route could be quite uneven on the foot and quite boggy at times. This route is recommended for experienced ultra runners.
Distance: 56km (34 Miles)
Climb: 734 metres (2400ft)
Checkpoints:
As you go through the route there will be check points which will provide you with light refreshments. There will be 4 check points on the route, each checkpoint will be equipped with Water, Coke, flapjacks, fruit, homemade cakes/biscuits and a selection of sweet and savoury items.

Checkpoint 2: Mile 15 - Thornton primary school Main St, Thornton, Coalville LE67 1AH
Checkpoint 3: Mile 21.5 - Shackerstone Station, Shackerstone, Leicestershire. CV13 6NW
