Route information
Swim
Participants will wait at the poolside in the order of release. One at a time, 30 seconds before your start time, you will be invited to move into lane 1.
15 seconds before you start, as the competitor before you begins, you will be asked to move into lane 2 where your swim will begin.
To ensure you accurately complete 400m and finish at the exit steps of the pool to the transition area, you are required to swim as follows:

Swim 2 lengths, out and back, in lane 2 - moving under the barrier into lane 3 as your turn into your third length.

Swim 2 lengths, out and back, in lane 3 - moving under the barrier into lane 4 as your turn into your fifth length.

Swim 2 lengths, out and back, in lane 4 - moving under the barrier into lane 5 as your turn into your seventh length.

Swim 2 lengths, out and back, in lane 5 and exit the pool via the steps, turning left into the transition area.
Run
This route will take runners along hard gravel pathways around the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, lapping the course a total of three times.

Stratford International station is a short 7 minute walk from the London Aquatics Centre.
By Tube
Stratford station runs on the central line and is a short 11 minute walk from the start location.
Parking
There are various paid car parks in the stratford area, such as Westfield Car Park B and Stratford car park.
Event day logistics
08:00 - 09:40 Swim waves start
*Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the race begins to allow plenty of time to register, attach your race number and warm up.
Swim Waves
Entrants will be grouped in waves (08:00am, 08:40am, 09:20am), and will start individually in 15-second intervals. Pre-registered participants will be allocated a wave start time which will be communicated via email in the week leading up to the event.
Race Pack
Race numbers and swimming caps must be collected on the day of the event. Participants will also receive a wristband to facilitate access to the changing area and pool and an ankle strap/timing chip to be worn throughout the event.
Age Restrictions
Entrants must be aged 15 or older in order to participate in this event.
Bag Drop
There will not be a bag drop at this event. Participants are asked to leave their belongings in their locked car, keeping valuables out of sight. Participants may also leave some belongings in the transition area or in a changing room locker (returnable £1 coin required).
Water Stations
Water will be available on this routes at the 2.5k point of the race.
Toilets
Toilets will be available in the changing rooms of the Aquatics Centre, and at the Last Drop Cafe once finished.
Results
Results will be uploaded live to The Race Organiser website, and communicated to all pre-registered participants, within 24 hours of each event.

Will there be a bag drop at the London Aquathlon in June?
Unfortunately, there will not be a bag drop at this event. Participants are asked to leave their belongings in their locked car, keeping valuables out of sight. Participants may also leave some belongings in the transition area or in a changing room locker (returnable £1 coin required).
When will results for the London Aquathlon be made available?
Race times will be uploaded onto The Race Organiser website following the event.
Is there a minimum age to enter the London Aquathlon?
