Route information
Experience the best of London during the festive period with this brand new event for 2023, an audio-guided, Christmas lights running tour taking you along 13.1 miles of yuletide joy on a specially curated route. Using GPS technology, runners will get audio directions and festive music straight into their headphones as they explore London's legendary Christmas light displays.
Beginning at the Christmas tree at St Pancras Station, the route weaves through Bloomsbury, Mayfair, London's West End, the Baker Street Quarter and Chelsea and South Kensington to finish at Victoria Station.
The half marathon can be run anytime between the 26th of November and the 5th of January.

The start is conveniently located outside St Pancras Station. St Pancras has regular services along the East Midlands Railway, Southeastern line and ThamesLink.
The nearest tube station is King's Cross St Pancras, which is served by the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines.

Accessing Your Audio Tour
After signing up, you'll get a code to access the half marathon tour on the app VoiceMap. Once at the start location on your chosen date and at your chosen time, you can open the app, connect to your headphones and begin to get your first set of directions.
The directions are automatically triggered by your GPS location, so you'll get more information as you continue along the route.
Submitting Evidence of Your Run
You will be asked to submit your evidence and any pictures you have taken from your run, which may appear on the organiser's website.

Do I have to run the Christmas Lights Half Marathon at a certain pace?
The audio tour will automatically update from your GPS location, so you're welcome to run at whatever pace you like.
Where does the Christmas Lights Half Marathon start and finish?
Your guided tour will start at the Christmas Treet at St Pancras Station and will finish at Victoria Station.
How do I access my audio tour for the Christmas Lights Half Marathon?
Once you sign up, you'll receive a code which will give you access to a bespoke tour on the app VoiceMap. Simply press start on your app once you've arrived at the start location and begin running!
When can I do it?
You can complete the half marathon at a time of your choosing, from Sunday 26th November onwards. Although the time of day that you complete it on is completely up to you, some lights are only switched on from 3-4pm when it is dark outside. We would also strongly advise avoiding the first two Saturdays in December if you can, as the route gets extremely busy on these days.
