Route information
Day 1 - London to Newhaven
Distance: 65 miles
Starting the event from Crystal Palace, the first day will be a great way to ease into the ride. It won't be long before you find yourself winding through the Kent and Sussex countryside along a bit of a hilly route. But don't worry, this morning section has often been described as the toughest part of the whole event.
After a few regular stops to recharge, you'll stop for lunch at a lovely country pub.
Next, your journey continues to Newhaven with a predominantly downhill route. With a couple of quick snack stops by Haywards Heath & Plumpton Green to keep you going, you'll arrive in Newhaven after completing the toughest day of cycling.
The final section of the day is the ferry, which you will take at 10pm. After boarding, you will have access to all the facilities onboard, including a 4-berth cabin. Lastly, you'll get off the ferry around 5am ready for another day of riding, so grab some sleep where you can!
Day 2 - Dieppe to Beauvais
Distance: 68 miles
A much flatter day in the saddle awaits with this mostly traffic-free route. You'll start bright and early off the ferry at 5:30am with a quick 5 mile stint to the Avenue Verte, a gently inclining and traffic-free route. With a couple of small stops along the way, you'll break for breakfast in a delightful french cafe after 35 miles of riding.
After breakfast, there will be a 12 mile stretch to Gournay-en-Bray and then its back to the Avenue Verte for the next 18 miles to Beauvais.
It's in Beauvais where you'll rest for the night, after exploring the town and its stunning Cathedral.
Day 3 - Beauvais to Paris
Distance: 63 miles
After a filling breakfast getting you ready for the day, you'll head off for the final day of cycling. After tackling a couple of hills you'll have earned your lunch.
From here, Paris is in your sights as you head towards the Eiffel where the finish line awaits.
For one final hoorah, the whole team will enjoy a celebration meal before returning home to St Pancreas on the train the next day, where your bike will meet you.

FAQs
What level of fitness do I need to have for this challenge?
This is not an easy cycle ride, but don’t let that put you off. You will be in the saddle for three consecutive days, cycling between 60-70 miles from 6-7 hours each day. If you give yourself enough time to train and get used to your bike it is a challenge that can be overcome by everyone.

What training do I need to do?
As you will be cycling for a long time for three consecutive days getting comfortable with your bike, shoes, helmet, and clothing is essential. It is recommended that you try and get out on your bike at least 2-3 times a week, and if you can practice riding in groups. It is encouraged that you to build up to the challenge and the team is on hand to help you with any advice you may need.
ChevronLeft
How will each day of cycling work?
Each day’s cycling will be broken down into 4-5 shorter cycling sections, usually between 10-20miles long. After each section, there will be ‘stop points’ where you can take on snacks and drinks, rest your legs and catch up with your fellow challengers. There will be a number of support vehicles traveling with the group so if you need to stop or want to ride in one of the support vehicles for part of a section that’s absolutely fine.
