Route information
Day 1 - London to Marlborough
Distance: 61.6 miles
Setting off from West London, there will be frequent stops to get you into the challenge. It won't take long for you to wind your way out of London into the quiet and quaint Berkshire countryside.
An undulating start to the event, there will be regular stops in Winnersh, Mortimer, and Brimpton to recharge, and lunch will be near Newbury. The second part of the day will be shorter at less than 25 miles, where riders will travel through the village of Ramsey and over a sharp hill before gliding to Marlborough.
To finish a successful first day, riders will check-in to their accommodation and enjoy an evening meal getting to know their fellow riders.
Day 2 - Marlborough to Taunton
Distance: 77.6 miles
Day 2 is the biggest day for cycling with 77 miles covered, so you'll be setting off a little earlier. Keeping pace along the country lanes of Marlborough will be key today, and the event guides will ensure you're fully supported.
This route starts with a short hill, and a steep descent before flattening off to Frome. For the next 30 miles, the route gently undulates before riders reach the next location for lunch, Nunery.
After fuelling up at lunch, riders will tackle a climb before Castle Cary and then enjoy a final 30 miles of downhill, slight undulations to the night's accommodation.
Once at the hotel riders will once again enjoy a friendly meal before getting some rest, knowing they've already conquered 140 miles!
Day 3 - Taunton to Torquay
Distance: 51.1 miles
After a filling breakfast to get you ready for the final day you'll be ready to tackle the last 51 miles to Torquay.
Starting with a section crossing under and over the M5 motorway, you'll cycle south through Somerset and into Devon. From here, you'll pass the east-side of Exeter to pick up the coastal path. With the finish line already in sight, there will be one more hill before crossing the line in the beautiful seaside town of Torquay, where the celebrations await.
For one final hoorah, the whole team will enjoy a celebration meal before returning home to Paddington on the train the next day, where your bike will meet you.
If you are staying on longer do the organisers know as soon as possible so the necessary arrangements can be made for your travel home and bike storage (charges may apply).

FAQs
What level of fitness do I need to have for this challenge?
This is not an easy cycle ride, but don’t let that put you off. You will be in the saddle for three consecutive days, cycling between 60-70 miles from 6-7 hours each day. If you give yourself enough time to train and get used to your bike it is a challenge that can be overcome by everyone.

What training do I need to do?
As you will be cycling for a long time for three consecutive days getting comfortable with your bike, shoes, helmet, and clothing is essential. It is recommended that you try and get out on your bike at least 2-3 times a week, and if you can practice riding in groups. It is encouraged that you to build up to the challenge and the team is on hand to help you with any advice you may need.
ChevronLeft
How will each day of cycling work?
Each day’s cycling will be broken down into 4-5 shorter cycling sections, usually between 10-20miles long. After each section, there will be ‘stop points’ where you can take on snacks and drinks, rest your legs and catch up with your fellow challengers. There will be a number of support vehicles traveling with the group so if you need to stop or want to ride in one of the support vehicles for part of a section that’s absolutely fine.
