My second formal event since getting into running, the first being the Cardinham twilight 10k. The Looe 10 miler is a real challenge and great entry into running longer distance. Ill use this run as a comparison to others and hopefully future half marathons … read more

well marshalled but a very tough 10 miler, the hills are steep and long so dont expect a pb. it's best to just enjoy this run and take in the view's. be careful not to go out too fast at the start, although it's very tempting there's alot of climbing to do in the 1st mile. i would say this event is the hardest run on the cornwall grand prix race list.

Freezing cold but beautiful, this is probably one of the most challenging races I've ever done. The hills were relentless, but I really really enjoyed it.

The information before the race was useful (first time running this race).

Standard half marathon. Potential to be a fast course as fairly flat but not the most interesting and the Tarka Trail goes on forever!

Only marked course down as its such a hard race, but so well organised I really enjoyed it. Tanoy system always works so well and such great support out on course, one of best races even though very tough

I was already prepared for the hills! (Im also Cornish...so knew what I was letting myself in for!) fairly new to running, so furthest I have been! Can honestly say would recommend to all abilities. The fact that there was a few treacherous hills only suitable for walking, broke it up a little too. Very scenic too.The Looe volunteers were second to none. Extremely attentative, friendly and supportive. Highly recommend!

Not my usual kind of event but served a great purpose for other events to come, not much a fan of road events but this one was spectacular with stunning views

I enjoyed it, the atmosphere was great, I knew it was going to be hilly but the hills were steeper and longer than expected! Lovely scenery and interesting route, nothing to feel bored about

A really well run race. Great communication in lead up to race and on race day. Marshalls and volunteers on day were great. Loads of parking (a shame Cornwall Council didn't waive parking charges on the day) and everything was well signposted. My only comment would be (and this could be due to me not reading route description) is as a road race I was suprised that we ran across a grassy area twice and up a very uneven lane. This may have been pointed out in the race breifing at start of race but from where I was standing this was hard to hear (not a criticism of this race it's the same at all small events).Stunning course with spectacular views. Would definitely do it again. Yes it's hard, yes it's hilly but it really ain't that bad!!

It was a fabulous experience. Nothing was left out. Advice to anyone doing it for the first time next year - don't be afraid of the steep hills. Most people around me were walking up them.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere and support was incredible and created by all the marshals and spectators. Really loved the medal and tshirt and the ice cream was a great finish even though it was a cold day. The course is epic and not for the faint hearted. Its extremely tough and tests your mental will power and in some places....mental stability haha but I will definitely go back for more next year. The Muskies always bring big support for this event and we will continue to do so in years to come.

This was my first race coming back from an injury so wasn't expecting too much, but it turns out that people were right about the hills lol, but these uphills suited me perfectly (ups at least) it's a great event that I will do again and hopfully will do well again. (Hot something at the end not icecream) it was a cold day! To new runners here watch the hills they are hellish

Ice cream sponsorship ? How about a soup company or pasty company.

Easier than I thought it was going to be. I was preparing for a lot worse but when I got to the top of the last hill I was surprised.

Amazing atmosphere! A compere chatting away the whole time. Race delayed by 10 mins to allow people who were affected by a diversion to get there for the start. Very hilly course- as per the description!! Making it a challenge to get around. First race Ive chosen to walk a couple of hills!!!Great medal and t shirt! Worth the 2 hour drive!
