This popular but challenging rural run returns again for yet another year.

The Beckley 10K is run along the lanes around this pretty East Sussex village which is hilly in parts, although the home stretch is straight and largely downhill-ish, so a fast finish is guaranteed.

A 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be taking place alongside the main 10K race at 11:00am, and a short Children's Race will be taking place at 10:45am.

The race is generously sponsored by M & S Electrical.

The M & S Electrical Beckley 10K routes

The route passes through the quiet country lanes around the East Sussex village of Beckley. With a couple of challenging hills, the course is undulating, but the final stretch is relatively flat, offering the chance for a fast finish. The start and finish are close to the Village Centre, which is at the heart of Beckley.

Whilst the route is on quiet roads, we cannot guarantee that the race will be entirely traffic-free.

FAQs

How do I attach my timing chip?

Your timing chip is incorporated into your race number and should not be removed. Please place the race number on the front of your vest/shirt and not on your leg or back.

How do I attach my race number?

Please attach your race number to the front of your running top or vest using safety pins or clips, securing it on all four corners. Please don’t attach your number to the back of your shirt as it is difficult for our timekeepers and marshals to identify you.

Good course, well organised, lovely woodland roads with challenging hills and lovely cake and beer at the finish

Very well organised and a really friendly, supportive vibe. Even though I (narrowly) set a 10K PB it's a very tough, hilly course, with some hills that seem to go on forever! So both physically and mentally challenging. Free beer and cake afterwards. Nice medal. Beautiful part of the country and a nice drive to and from. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous route because of time of year (Autumn). Although on the road, virtually traffic free when I did it. Small hill at the beginning, so much of it seemed downhill! Cake was a nice touch, not sure about beer even though weather was good. Enjoyed the later start as coming from afar.
  • Did the 10K in 2018

The hills were bigger and more frequent than expected but the scenery was beautiful!
  • Did the 10K in 2018

Quite narrow road for first kilometre so runners should seed themselves well for a fast start.
