This event has passed. Congratulations to all the participants. Get race results and photos.

This is a great race, all run on tarmac roads and suits everyone from children to adults, top club runners to walkers. The race is organised to raise money for the charity, 'Meningitis Now' as Tri Project's, Lee Pearce's father died suddenly from Meninigtis in January 2013. In the first year the race raised 1,000 and last year it raised nearly 1,500 so we hope that the Mad March Hare this year will raise even more. Come and run or walk 5k or 10k, have fun and rasie money for charity.

A brilliant local run very well organised that attracts all abilities. Wish there were more like this
  • Did the 10k in 2019

Great event for all abilities, well marshalled course and great organisation would definitely do again
  • Did the 5k in 2019

poor organisation at the start of the race, 10k fast runners were placed behind 5k fun runners with buggies, dogs and young children. The main part of the course is a single track road with runners going in both directions, people walking three a breast and allowing young children to walk in front of oncoming runners!

First-time run at the March Hare. Not a bad event considering the race was aimed at family participation -- route was surprisingly not easy with inclines and strong wind.Improvements for next time: Announcements at the start were muffled due to poor acoustics due perhaps to the wind. Probably could do with one or two extra marshals with active signalling (big pointy fingers?) as route looped back on itself and arrow signals had blown over. Smaller children really should have started at the back.

A great small event in the confines of the impressive grounds of a beautiful private school. Good mix of runners and experience, blending both fun of Mad March Hare theme and good conditions for more serious runners. 2 laps for the 10k route, but worth it for the surroundings. Doing again in 2019 - a must if you are local (so I may be biased), but not sure it's one to travel a long distance to.
