Great race. For a flat course I found it was more of a challenge than I thought it would be. Very well organised and great atmosphere.

Very rough track and too narrow which makes passing walkers difficult

Route was far too congested. Had two walking races on and the marathon at the same time. Was almost unmanageable

The 50km walking event happening during the run was very annoying

There were other walkers and runners apart from this particular race on the same path, and where the path was narrow there was a lot of waiting around

Too many people on the foot paths, walking and not listening to the keep left rule. Queuing to get through some bugs of the course.

Really lovely course, is very flat and all along the beautiful view of the Thames. Staff were nice and very helpful! Expect a small event

British Heart Foundation was running an event on the same day 25km/50km. 99% of the walkers was fine, but running was very challenging at times due to the volumes of poeple in the other event.

My first half marathon and I loved it! Gorgeous route along the Thames and lucky for us the weather was gorgeous too. Seemed like bad timing that it clashed with a big walking ultra, so a lot of giving way and wide berths. But I would definitely recommend as a first half marathon and would consider doing it again - or one day even the marathon.
