Due to roadworks bike course included a walk section along gravel path, had I known before booking I would not have entered. Saw a number of punctures after that part probably as a result, luckily I wasn't one of them. Swimming in shallow water with mud wasn't great either, not sure why the swim course can't go the other way into deeper water? Run route was good although i clocked it as short of the 10k and public support was great here.… read more

A great event in my favourite place of the UK. It was my first triathlon, and I received lots of communication from Dengie Events in the lead up to the event so I knew what to expect. There was buzzing atmosphere both before and after the race, and I got an amazing sports massage after the race (thanks, Charlie!). The sun came out about 3km into the ride which was fast, flat and fabulous. Will definitely be back again next year to take on the Olympic distance!… read more
