About
‘This is a true cross country event, which contains the best (and worst) of all the natural features on Exmoor, utilising them to provide a “proper” tough challenge.‘ This hardcore off road challenge is set in the heart of Exmoor National Park. We have been granted special permisson to run this event in such a remote and stunning part of the landscape, because of this, the event is limited to 200 entrants but this makes our event unlike any other.

Route information
COURSE
Run starts at 10:00. This is a tough undertaking, covering varied terrain including open rugged moorland, steep combes, boggy valley heads, bridleways, footpaths, tussock grass, a 75 metre swim and a 25 metre tunnel (alternative run routes around these obstacles are in place if required). We are very privileged to be able to run an event of this nature in this remote part of Exmoor National Park. To minimise erosion in this stunning area we are restricted to 200 entrants, the route has been specially selected and we would appreciate your co-operation by following the marked route.

Spectator Info
SPECTATORS
Good spectators make an event and we’d love to see your supporters there cheering you on. Due to the nature of the event and the remote terrain it covers we recommend utilising our ‘Spectator Tour’ or specified spectator locations.
Let one of our team take you to some great spots to see the action. Please bear in mind though that the the entrants will be running so if seeing the finish is a priority make sure you head back in plenty of time. The quickest runners are back in just over an hour. Tour not for you? Take part in the family bogsticle course and enjoy the refreshments available from Little Van Rouge.

Kit List
EQUIPMENT
All entrants need to be appropriately equipped to deal with the weather conditions on the day. The event may be in July but Exmoor often has its own ideas! Clothing needs to be appropriate for both running and swimming in the conditions of the day. For example, this could come in the shape of technical shorts and t-shirt or a Tri-suit. Footwear needs to be supportive and have sufficient grip to deal with the mixed terrain. Also, light enough to run and swim in. We recommend a technical trail running shoe with deep tread. Head to your nearest outdoor retailer for some useful advice.
