The first run will be 2.5k, utilising the runway tunnels as a part of the out and back route.
You will then transfer to the bike where you will venture out for a 18k ride through Cheshire's rural villages of Ashley and Wilmslow. There will be plenty of long flat roads as well as some short sharp climbs, technical bends, and corners to keep you on your toes.
Finally, it will be time for the final 2.5k run to the finish. With some healthy competition, chase down your fellow competitors and race across the finish line to bask in that finisher's feeling.
Whether this is your first race or is a preparation race for your next qualifier, this course is perfect for all looking to put their training into practice.

There is excellent access from both the M56 and M60.
There will be ample free parking available at the Airport Inn Hotel. The parking is usually pay and display. However, you can ensure free parking by entering your vehicle registration in the tablet at the reception. It is your responsibility to ensure you have done this, any parking fines resulting in not recording your vehicle registration will need to be appealed by yourself.
Event day logistics
08:00 Registration opens
08:30 Wave 1 starts
11:00 Wave 2 starts
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before your start time to ensure you have ample time to familiarise yourself with the transition, warm-up and discuss any queries you may have.
Entrants must be at least 15 years or over to enter this event.
Your race number and medal will be at an allocated place in the transition. This will be your area to keep your bike, trainers and any nutrition/hydration you may require.
To ensure you are adhering to social distancing measures, when you are overtaken please drop back slightly to allow adequate distance. If you are overtaking, please move over to the right, ensure you avoid any oncoming runners.
The bike mount line will be marked with a flag. The dismount line will be the same line as where you mounted your bike. Please walk/run with your bike from/to the transition. Do not mount or dismount your bike before these points. This rule is in place to avoid confusion between cyclists, runners or motorists as well as provide more space to adhere to social distancing.
The finish line will be the start line where your time will be manually recorded. Please make your way safely from the finish line to the transition area.

How do I get free parking at the GO TRI Manchester Airport Duathlon?
Please park at the Airport Inn Hotel, there will be ample free car parking available for all entrants. Please note, this is usually pay and display so entrants must enter their vehicle registration into the tablet at the hotel's reception to ensure they receive free parking for the day. This is your responsibility to ensure you have done this, any parking fines resulting in not recording your registration, will need to be appealed by yourself.
I am a beginner, can I enter the GO TRI Manchester Airport Duathlon?
Yes, this event is designed for all beginners that are looking to give a Duathlon a go.
A run in the NT park would be nicer scenery and less noiseBut the current course is easier to organise I almost missed the end of the bike course and nearly overshot ! A big advance sign would be good !
