This festive fun run is in aid of St Ann's Hospice who are one of the oldest and largest adult hospices outside of London, dating back to 1971. Their purpose is provide the best care and support for those living with or affected by life-limiting illnesses.

The race itself will take place on footpaths, fields and trails within the park and - given the time of year - there is a high chance that the ground underfoot may be wet or muddy.

This is a lapped course, with the 2.5 Mile run completing it once and the 5 Mile dash completing it twice.

This is a marshalled course and there will be first aid in attendance.

Did the 5 Mile in 2019

Brilliant event, well organised, friendly atmosphere. The Marshalls on the route were really supportive, and the event was easy to get up by public transport
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2019

Great day, fun course to run and really good event all round. Stewards were fantastic will 100% do this next year.
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2018

A few more marshals to make sure the route is followed correctly. Also the numbers were down this year, I think you picked one of the main shopping days before Christmas.
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2018

A great run, felt great to do it in fancy dress - really added to the atmosphere. The treats at the end were a bonus and the large medal was great.
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2018

The course was muddy in parts as it had been raining heavily the night before.
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2018

I went in trail shoes and they definitely made a difference.
  • Did the 5 Mile in 2018

I would recommend running in trail trainers as I ran in my road runners and was slipping and sliding everywhere.
