The M2L ultra will take you along the Trans-Penine Trail, canals and along the River Mersey, from Manchester to Liverpool. This Ultra will be challenging, however, there are only a few climbs throughout making it perfect for those new to Ultrarunning or seasoned veterans looking for a PB.
This event also has plenty of checkpoints to make sure you are keeping fuelled, throughout here are all their locations (including additional spots for your support crew:
- CP1: 6 miles - Checkpoint Chorlton Water Park, Maitland Avenue, M21 7Wh
- 12.5 miles: Banky Lane, M33 5SL
- 15 miles: Hanover Road, Altrincham, WA14 5RZ, Runners head down Diaryhouse Lane
- 19 miles: Parking beside Co-op food, Heatley Mere, Lymm, WA13 9UP
- CP3: 23 miles - Latchford Locks, Checkpoint near to 20 Bradshaws Lane, Warrington, WA4 2NJ
- 25 miles: Parking at Morrisons, Greenalls Avenue, Warrington, WA4 6RN

Qualifying experience
Participants must have run at least a marathon distance before the race. A virtual or training run is sufficient, this must be completed before the M2L starts.
