Beacon Park is a stunning public park in Staffordshire that was created in the mid-1800's. The venue now includes 69 acres of parkland right in the city centre. The park includes a lake, which makes for the perfect natural running track and is home to an abundance of wildlife.

The event does a great job of raising money and awareness for the two most prevalent forms of cancer affecting men today; Testicular and Prostate.

Ok it was a blustery day but organisation and marshalling was not good. I know it's for charity but ridiculous things like dogs walking on course with owners and people just aimlessly wandering on the course made this actually dangerous with risk of injury to runners and local people. No proper marshalling - might as well have just turned up on day and invented course there and then. Sadly will not run these again until better organised.

From the start there was conflicting start times on emails / internet. On the day there was no atmosphere. There was supposed to be a kids race but no evidence of it if children had come. It was advertised for runners to have a t shirt which there were none. It said you had a water bottle however, I think they meant a bottle of water at the end. When I finished the medal was given to me in a wrapper! Very disappointing all round.
