Route information
Back for its eighth instalment, the Mapledurham Half Marathon, 10 Mile & 10k is the perfect winter trail running event. Expect stunning scenery and countryside views as you explore the Mapledurham Estate in Oxfordshire. The Estate provides an incredible setting for this event, with extensive gardens and an Elizabethan, Grade-1 listed stately home.
Runners can expect an exciting mixed terrain route, with a combination of woodland trails, muddy paths, private lanes, fields and a few challenging hills.
The event is open to all abilities and has a fun, lively atmosphere that participants are sure to enjoy. Runners will be treated to complimentary mulled wine and vegan-friendly mince pies once they finish the race.

The event is based 4 miles northwest of Reading, easily accessible from the M4. Follow event car parking signage on the day from the A4074 (Caversham to Oxford Rd) at the Pack Saddle Pub.
Parking
Free parking will be available with a requested donation of £2 to the local charity Launchpad. Parking will be 400m from the race start.
By Train
Reading Station gives the best accessibility to the race venue, and is approximately 4 miles away.

Registration
Race numbers will not be posted out before the race, they must be collected from registration on the day of the event. Please bring your email confirmation with you (on your phone is fine).
Bag Drop
There won't be a bag drop at the event. The onsite parking is just 400m from the race start so it is recommended to leave your possessions in your car.
Kit
Runners are recommended to wear trail shoes and to bring a dry set of clothes and shoes to wear after the race, along with a water bottle to put at the finish line as there won't be aid stations on the course.
There will be limited water and cups at the finish line. Please also bring a cup for the mulled wine.
Age Restrictions
- 10k participants must be 13 years or older.
- Half Marathon and 10-mile participants must be 16 years or older.
Cut Off times
There is a 2 hour 30 minute cut-off time for this event.
Dogs
You can run with your dog, as long as your dog is on a short lead.
Sports Massage
Post race sports massages will be on offer at the finish line. They will cost £10 for 15 minutes.
iTAB Medal Attachment
The iTAB engraved with your name and finish time will be sent out a few days after the event.

Yes, 13 is the minimum age for the 10k and 16 for the 10 mile and half marathon.
What is the cut-off time for the Mapledurham Half Marathon, 10 Mile and 10k?
The cut-off time for both events is 2 and a half hours.
Will there be drinks stations at the Mapledurham Half Marathon, 10 Mile and 10k?
There will be no drink stations on the course, but there will be a limited supply of water and cups at the finish line.
Are we able to bring our dogs to the Mapledurham 10 Mile and 10k?
This is a dog-friendly event but dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
