Although I'd supported friends before, this was the first time I'd tried the course. I really enjoyed the course and the varying terrain was great fun. Volunteers were very cheery which was welcome. It was cold so the slightly delayed start wasn't appreciated. All in all, I really enjoyed the event and have already recommended it to friends.

Lovely scenery and friendly organisers. The mince pit and mulled wine at the end was nice. The only downside I can think of is the inclusion of dogs. Not an issue for me personally but some were running through tight trails with a long harness. Could be dangerous in some hilly places.

Worth the drive from Swindon. The prefect way to start your Sunday… Certainly a challenge for my old legs.

A great run for those wanting a bit of a challenge! Lots of hills, mud and rocky paths through amazing countryside - and it’s so satisfying to cross the finish line. Lovely time of year to run, and to celebrate finishing with mulled wine and a mince pie feels like a great way to start the festive season! Great organisation, with friendly volunteers through the whole route - highly recommended!

Small but perfectly formed event, that's a must for any trail head. The course does offer a bit of flat (some of which is road), but the affectionately named Touretts Hill kicks you up the proverbial quite nicely. Saving grace; the views from the top, the mud (weather dependant), the winding tracks and trail, the awesome downhills, the woods are just amazing!Really great atmosphere too. The event staff and all the marshals are sooo supportive. You could probably get away with light trails or grippy road shoes, but this year trails were an absolute must. Highly recommended, looking forward to 2022.

Loved this race. I was supposed to do 10 miles but played it safe due to injury and did 10k instead. Great small event, well organised and a great atmosphere. I have signed up to do the 10 miler in 2019.
