Maverick are really great organisers of events, they know that you don't need to do loads to put on a top event, and they just get the basics right. The event was brutally difficult but well supported, marshalled and a beautiful route. Two small issues to point out were: Firstly the distance of the ultra was 2.5km longer than stated ahead of time. The route was meant to be 54km but I clocked it at 56.5km, as did other runners. It's a not a massive difference but when you're 50km into a race they extra kilometres hurt. Second issue was that the on the day mandatory kit list was very different to the kit list we were provided with online. It included a lot of things that we're not previously asked for such as waterproof trousers, buffs, a hat, glove and some other bits. I just shrugged this off as it couldn't be helped but it would be good to make sure the online kit list matches us to avoid making any runners anxious. But all in all, a great event, legs are just about back to normal again :)

As with last year, the route is actually 56km. Not an issue, but would be better to advertise it as such! Great organisation from Maverick Races as always though.

This was my second Maverick Adidas Terrex event and I absolutely loved it! I was nervous about moving up to the middle (20km this time) from the short (10km) but I didn't feel any stress in doing so. The event organisers made everyone feel welcome and very much encouraged you to go out and enjoy it - there were some beautiful views to be had and they wanted you to see them! Another fantastic event by Maverick, I will certainly be back for more next year. Thank you!

Great event with really nice and supporting marshals! The only negative comment I have is that the race was almost 49km long and not 46.5 as announced...but that often happens with trail races. And some aid stations didn't have any savoury snacks which was really missing.

We had great fun. Only thing that could be improved was registration, as everything is alphabetical it would have been useful to have the letters displayed overhead so that people can stand in the appropriate queue instead of the long queue/free for all that it was. Looking forward to the next one!

The course ended up being almost 3km longer for us, which was very tough physically but even more mentally because we didn't know when the race would finish and how many additional km we would have to do. I heard reviews about this from 2019 so it should really be advertised as a longer race.

It was an experience of a life time. By far the most difficult race and course I have ever run. The hills and stairs were brutal! Next time I’ll come prepare with even bigger shoes and pads at my toes.

Amazing! Was my first ever Maverick race and I had the most amazing time. Only did the short run this time but I will definitely be back for a longer one next time. Great atmosphere.
