Route description

The Peak District X-Ultra is one of Maverick Race's most hotly anticipated events of the year. Trail runners come from all corners of the UK to enjoy the challenge that Maverick and the Peak District present.

All new routes for this year, the race kicks off from the Bakewell Showground before heading out into the National Park. Climbing over moors and descending down toward river valleys, this course takes in abandoned rail-lines, the Pennine footpath, as well as tackling some of the areas towering peaks.
If you would like to get a real taste of trail running and the great British outdoors all in one then this is a fantastic race to get involved with, either individually or as a team.

This is an extremely challenging event for all those participating and will require extensive mental fortitude. As such, spectators are firmly encouraged to come along and support athletes both before and after the race.

Volunteers are a vital part of what makes Maverick Race one of the best Trail Running company's in the UK. As such, they are always on the lookout for an extra pair of helping hands.

Whether you're a trail running aficionado or interested in event organisation, this could be a great opportunity for you. If you would like to find out more then follow the link here:
