FAQs
Why do TryTri ask for an estimated swim time?
It is important that you give an as accurate as possible estimate of your swim time over the swim distance in your event so that we can place you in a wave of swimmers who are roughly the same ability as yourself.

What stroke can I use for the swim?
Any stroke apart from backstroke

What type of bike can I use?
You can use any bike as long as it is in good working order. Your brakes will be checked before you enter transition.

Do I have to wear a helmet?
Helmets are compulsory and must meet CE & EU safety standards (there will be a safety mark inside the helmet if this is the case)

Do I have to wear my race numbers in the pool?

No, at registration you will be given an envelope with your race number in but you will only need your race numbers for the cycle and run - have them pinned on ready in transition, on your t-shirt/top or race belt.

Shall I wear a wetsuit for the event?
No, this is a pool based event and as such the water temperature will be too warm for a wetsuit.
