Route information
Starting at the Transport Museum in Wythall, just outside of Birmingham, this event will take riders on a 68k/42-mile loop through the surrounding countryside and towns. A slightly shorter route than the main March Hare event with less elevation, this route still contains the hill climbs at Cobley Hill (maximum gradient of 7%, elevation of 46m) and Holloway Rise (maximum gradient of 10.7%, elevation of 48m).
From Wythall, riders will strike out into the Worcestershire countryside, heading through the villages of Hopwood, Barnt Green and the ancient settlement of Cofton Hackett. The course then continues to the suburbs of Rednal and Rubery and the hamlets of Clent, bypassing Clent Hill.
At Clent, riders will turn south, travelling through the villages of Belbroughton, Dodford and Elmbridge. At Wychbold, the route turns east, continuing on through Stoke Prior, Stoke Pound and Tutnall.
The final stretch sees cyclists head out into the open countryside once again to tackle Holloway Rise followed by Cobley Hill. The route then begins to loop back towards Wythall, passing through Rowney Green.
