Join the festive fun with this unique take on a Christmas 10k. Great for those looking to combine fitness with festive fun, the course visits the very best Christmas lights that London has to offer. Come to gaze in wonder at the sparkling lights or for the santa hat.

Route description
Route description

The group will meet at Trafalgar Square, home of London's Christmas Tree.

From there, the group will fly through the streets of the capital and you'll be able to marvel at the famous lights of Carnaby Street, Regent Street, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Paddington, Kensington Palace, Bond Street and many more places you may not be familiar with.

The tour will last about 2 hours and will end at Notting Hill Station.

The Merrily Medium is for people who are comfortable running 10k in 10-11 minute miles.

If you would like to do this event at a faster pace, please check out the Festively Fast events or alternatively if you'd like to go slower then the Gentle Jingle races are for you.

Logistics and schedule

Please arrive 15 minutes before so that the group can set off on time.

19:00 Start: Trafalgar Square (near the fountains).

21:00 (Approx.) End: Ends at Notting Hill Station.


This event is not suitable for spectators because it follows a path through London on open roads and pathways.

Trafalgar Square is easily accessible by tube at Embankment and train at Charing Cross Station.

Embankment sits on the Bakerloo, Circle and District, and Northern lines.

Finish: Notting Hill Station

Notting Hill Gate Station sits on the Central and Circle and District lines.

Frequently asked questions
Will I be able to keep up in the Christmas Lights Running Tour?
Yes. Runners are asked to sign up to the group that they are most comfortable with, so you should be grouped with runners of a similar pace. Gentle Jingle (if you're comfortable running 10k in 12-13 minute miles) Merrily Medium (if you're comfortable running 10k in 10-11 minute miles) Festively Fast (if you're comfortable running 10k in 9 minute miles or under) If you don't feel you can run at the Merrily Medium pace, it is advised that you change to the Gentle Jingle events so you can enjoy the sights more. Please note that the above groups are available on several different dates throughout December, so if you can't make one, check out the other dates on Let's Do This.
What if I can't run 10km but still want to participate in a Christmas Lights Running Tour?
Don't worry, there are 5km versions of the event available on Let's Do This as well.
