  • Did the Long in 2018

Done several before. Worth being familiar with map reading. This type of course does not require highly honed skills but knowing the basics can keep you on course and save lots of time
  • Did the Short in 2018

I've been doing these kind of adventure races for over 10 years now and still keep coming back for more! It's a thinking persons race, having to decide on your strategy, route choice, get your navigation right and deal with it when you don't and still make it back in the time limit! Box Hill and the surrounding hills are a great place to run and bike through, and as you're pacing through the countryside it's good to take a moment to look at the scenery and nature!
  • Did the Long in 2018

This was my first orienteering event ever and I enjoyed it from start to finish and if there is one thing at all it would be to mark the check-points clearly (even more) for them to be found a bit easier as I struggled finding quite a few - I know the maps are somewhat general and perhaps the "looking around" is part of the fun but I rather concerntrate on the physical aspect. I will for sure do more events like this. Thank you
