This course is absolutely beautiful, but HILLY!
Starting in the stunning Hambleden Valley, this route takes runners on mile after mile of breathtaking Chiltern's beauty. As runners take on this multi-terrain course, they'll enjoy flint stone villages, country pubs, and a few tough climbs.
For tv and movie fans, the route also takes you through the 'Vicar of Dibley' village of Turville, past the 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' windmill and starts and finishes in Hambleden Village itself, which has seen more film sets than you can count.

A great event - I think I smiled from start to finish! Well maybe not up that giant hill to the windmill but I’ll definitely be back next year!

It was a really tough but beautiful run. Couldn’t fault the organisers and marshals. My only complaint is that the half marathon medal was very poor in comparison with the medal for the 10 mile race, which was absolutely stunning! A windmill with sails that span! I wouldn’t have bothered with those extra miles if I’d known!

Fantastic race, hills were as brutal as advertised 😂. It was a shame there weren’t more half marathon runners as it got a bit sparse after the split

Disappointed that a club mate got lost, and that another went wrong at a course split. So maybe a couple more Marshall’s would help, but as a challenge, it is great.
