Experience this well-organised running event in Milton Keynes by signing up for one of the 4 available races that boasts over 5000 participants.
Participants can choose between 5k, 10k, half marathon, or for those who are in it for the long run, 20 miles to criss-cross Milton Keynes on fast and flat tarmac roads.
With pacers available for the half marathon and 20 mile distances, this event is the perfect training event for those looking to smash their previous marathon season.
The 10k and 5k routes consist of a one-lap course while the half marathon is a two-lap course with mile markers at each mile point. The 20 mile route consists of one 10k loop and two 11k loops.
*Please note that walkers are not recommended signing up for these races as the event needs to be finished by 3pm.

By Rail
Milton Keynes Central station is approximately a mile walk from the event site, which will be clearly signposted. Taxis are also available outside the train station.

By Car
Travelling from the M1: Exit the M1 at Junction 14 and take the A509 towards Central Milton Keynes. Take the 2nd exit towards H6 Childs Way at the 1st roundabout. Continue on the same road over the next 5 roundabouts, and at the South Secklow roundabout turn right onto Secklow Gate. The XScape Building is on your right. Travelling from the A5: Exit the A5 towards the A509 to Milton Keynes Central. Take the 3rd exit from the south, and 1st exit from the north, signposted A509. Continue over 3 roundabouts, and take the 3rd exit onto Secklow Gate at the 4th roundabout. The Xscape Centre will be ahead of you on your left at the junction with Avebury Boulevard (third set of traffic controlled lights).
Parking
There is plenty of multi-story and open car parks very close to the Xscape Centre. Please park in any of them and make you way over to Xscape Centre, but make note that parking fees will apply in most of them.

Please arrive in your running kit as there are no changing facilities available.
It is suggested that you arrive at least 90 minutes before the event to give yourself enough time to find a parking space and to get to the start / finish areas, use the loos etc.
Water Stations
Water will be available on the course at 3, 6, 9 & 11 miles for the Half Marathon, the same plus 14 and 17 miles for the 20 mile and at 3 miles for the 10k.
Water is available for all three events at the finish. Please bring your own water to drink prior to the start.
Toilets
Toilets will be available in the Xscape car park near the start/finish lines. There are limited toilets along the course which will be situated at the 3 mile and 10 mile marks.

There are ample places to watch around the courses but please bear in mind that parking will be tight and you need to arrive early if you want to avoid the closed roads.

Will there be a cut-off time for the 20 mile race at the MK Festival of Running?
Yes, the runners will have a 2pm cut-off time as the course and finish are need to be cleared out by 3pm.

When will race packs be sent out for the MK Festival of Running?
Race packs will be sent out close to the race, approximately 2 weeks before race day. If you enter late, there will be a Race Information Marquee in the Xscape Centre car park near the finish line where you can pick up your packet and sort out any issues.

Can I wear headphones during the MK Festival of Running?
Yes, although please note that if you run with standard headphones your insurance cover from UKA will be invalidated should any incidents occur.
