The Stewards and on route marshals where brilliant very helpful and friendly. The stadium organisation was good at finish. I have deducted a star because getting to the correct starting zone was impossible and there didn’t seem to be anyone helping, I’m a 3hr40min runner and I had to start behind the 5hr30min runners which wasn’t fun, it took 7miles to get through the crowd running mainly on the grass verge. The route was very well marshalled road closers ect all good, but there were technical tricky path sections which weren’t suitable for that amount of people and quite a few runners fell down. Overall a good experience though 👍

Good atmosphere in and around stadium early on but it tailed off quickly. Not many supporters out and about on the course generally (despite great weather).

Enjoyed the 2nd part of the marathon course more than the 1st, marshals were fab very supportive shame there wasn’t much support from the locals but those that came out were great.

Unfortunately this year was a dnf for me, I pulled up at 12 miles with foot pain. The marshals were amazing directing me on how to get back to the stadium and providing taxi numbers. I still got my t-shirt and was a blubbering crying mess but grateful for all the concern from everyone. This was my 2nd mk and won't be my last.

This course is far hillier than mentioned. I would not advise it to people who are running their first marathon. Many people were complaining as it is quoted to be a fast flat course which is definitely not the case

Tough race given my training wasn't to plan. Enjoyable 20 miles but found the last 10k tough.Thoroughly well organised event and would recommend every marathon runner to at least tick this off the list.
