Route information
The Athletics Track at Abbeycroft Leisure Centre is the venue for the Ministry of Track event this September. Guaranteed to be an awesome Saturday at the track for the whole family, the event will run from 12:00 to 21:00, under the lights and to the sound of cheering crowds.
With music on the loudspeakers, great food & drink, and events that are suitable for runners of all ages and abilities, it promises to provide a epic day of family fun.
There will be a number of events to choose from, all run around the track. For those looking for a seriously tough physical and mental challenge, take on the 105.5 lap marathon, or the 52 lap half marathon. If the 10K is your bread and butter, there will be both a team-oriented 10K, and an Elite 10K for the speedsters.
Junior runners are not forgotten, with a junior 5K targeting those youngsters with a love for running.
The night will finish with the Golden Mile, where the last place runner will drop out every lap.
For all the events, runners will finish through the "Tunnel of Love", where their supporters will line the track and cheer you down the home straight.
