This unique midsummer race returns for 2024, with an all-new venue at Caldecotte Lake. Experience the relaxed, festival atmosphere and complete as many or as few of the 6.55-mile lap course as you like. Finishers will get their hands on a range of goodies, from a medal to a race t-shirt.

In this fun, family-friendly event, you will have 24 hours to complete as many laps as you would like. The route starts at the beautiful Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes and will take you on a 6.55-mile lap. There will be some spectacular views to take in as you explore the lake and surrounding parkland.
Participants are encouraged to 'do it their way', completing as many or as few laps of the course as they like. Take a break between laps to soak up the event village atmosphere or have a snooze - it's completely up to you!
The 2024 event includes better facilities with plenty of individual showers and toilets, large marquees to relax, and teepee tents for hire. There will be lots of activities to keep busy with between laps, including fire pits and games. Enter for a vibrant, festival atmosphere!
Relay
You can also sign up for the relay race, available to teams of 2-6 runners. Complete laps on your own or run together with your pals. However, if you do run together with your teammates, it will only count as 1 lap.

By Car
From M1 Northbound – Leave at junction 13 and follow the A421 towards Milton Keynes. At the 3rd roundabout (next to the BP garage), take the second exit towards Walton Hall and the Open University. Shortly after another three roundabouts ** as the road enters a duel carriageway, turn left towards Simpson. After a few hundred metres at the T junction, turn right and follow the road for approx 1/2 mile through the village. The entrance to the Caldecotte Xperience is on the left.
From M1 Southbound – Leave at junction 14 and head towards Milton Keynes on the A509. At the first roundabout take the second exit A4146 towards Milton Keynes South. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto Tongwell Street (V11) towards Kingston, Monkston etc. Continue straight until at the third roundabout, turn right (3rd exit)onto Groveway (H9) towards Walton Park, Simpson etc.
Camping
There will be a secured facility where you will be able to camp on both Friday and Saturday nights. The campsite will open on Friday afternoon and must be vacated by 16:00 on Sunday.
Prices are as follows:
  • £40 to hire a Tee-Pee Tent (sleeps up to 6)
  • Tents - £15 all weekend, or £10 Saturday only (pitch size 5m x 7m)
  • Campervans - £20 all weekend, or £15 Saturday only (no EHU or generators)

Age Requirements
Under 15-year-olds must run half laps of approximately 5km. By completing two half laps over the 24 hours, they will be eligible for the finishers medal and goodies. Under 18s are to be supervised (but not necessarily on the run).
Relay Race
To enter as a team please enter your team name when registering.
Facilities
There will be portable toilets and individual showers on-site. Hot food and drinks will be available to purchase during the event at the BBQ and Pizza Van.
Refreshments
Snacks, water and hot drinks will be available free of charge.
Cup-Less Event
This is a cup-less event, so if you would like some water, tea or coffee, please bring a cup or bottle.

Distance Pins
You can earn distance pins for completing each of the following distances:

Crowds
Supporters are welcome to visit the site during the event to join in the fun and enjoy the facilities that are available.
Can I run with my dog at the MK24?
Unfortunately, as this event is hosted under a UKA permit, running with a dog is not permitted.

Yes, water will be provided at the event but make sure to bring your own bottle or cup as this is a cup-less event.

Yes, all participants must complete at least one 6.55 mile lap in order to earn their finisher's goodies.
