A fantastic race. Well organised. Quite an undulating course. Flat is boring,right. Friendly atmosphere. This was my 4th year and I'll keep coming back.

This was only my second Trail Run and I found it exremely well organised and fun. The highlight was the KidsTrail at the start which my 9 year old absolutely loved and the inclusion of a good quality medal for him was superb. The main event was brilliant and I enjoyed it thoroughly, will definitely be doing more similar events in future.

I really enjoyed the event, one of the better organised trail events I've done. The course was much tougher than I thought it would be, more shorter rolling hills than the couple of longer drags I was expecting. This year the course was frozen, so there wasn't much mud. My feet were quite sore from the road section and the farm track and I could probably have worm road shoes or a more cushioned trail shoe, however, usually a grippy shoe would be essential for the steep grassy descents. A hint for next year, don't work too hard in the first half. There's a steep climb and descent on the road that will punish your legs before the flat 1 mile finish.

Having entered a few of the Montane Trail events, usually the Ultradistance ones, I thought I'd give the Dalemain 10k a go, I'm NOT a runner, more of a long distance plodder so 10k is a bit short & fast for my liking, but I really enjoyed it, 2 climbs, 1 on grass & 1 on tarmac and 1 great long descent on grassland, a few finishers were saying it was a tough course, I thought it was relatively easy, great event (they always are!), great tshirt & medal

Plenty of info/emails from the minute you sign up to arriving. Car parking was nose to tail so a bit of a wait t get out of the area.The course was easier than I thought, a few rolling hills, quick down hill sections and a couple of long bits t stretch the legs. The ground was firm/frosty for the most part so I could have used my road trainers as initially thought, (but didn't). Overall, a good variety/mix of tracks/grass/road as 10k events should be.

As a newbie to Fell running this was a perfect event. Was lucky that the ground was frozen. Would be a muddy one otherwise

It was my first trail race so I had no expectations - however - all future trail races will have a lot to live up to!! Great race and very well organised...Even the weather was good!!

Thankfully it was really good weather so the course was hard due to frost. The course was well payed out and marshals as always where great. Ive been to a few events run by epic events and they are always really good. I would say come prepared for bad mud though as I can imagine it could get VERY muddy in worse weather.
