Route information
The race starts just past Leitrim Lodge at the foot of Rocky Mountain, before passing Santa’s Cottage. The first 3 kilometres will give runners an elevation gain of 64m. From here the course descends as you pass Yellow Water.
There will be a water station at the 5k point, which means you are half way through.
After the halfway point the course then turns into Kilbroney Park with a short steep climb 370m in length before the final descent to the finish line.
This event is very easy to navigate. There are only 5 turns in total in its length and all will be very well marked and marshaled.
As this is a road event the roads will be closed for the start of the event and have limited local access traffic once underway to allow you to relax and enjoy your experience in safety.
The road surface is also good quality with tarmac in its length.

There will be designated parking areas for all participants in Kilbroney Park beside the registration area/finish line.
Bus Transport to Start
Once registered, all participants will board a series of buses that will transport everyone to the start point of the event at Leitrim Lodge. The bus transport to the start line is included in the entry fee.

Registration
Registration will take place at Kilbroney park which is the finish line for this event. Here, collect your race pack, race number and event buff.
Bus Transfer
Once you have registered you will be allocated a seat on the bus, which will transport you to the start line 10k away. You’ll be dropped off at the start location and after a short briefing and warm up.
