Back for its 2nd year, the Pipley Wood Mud Bath treats runners to mud, more obstacles, more water and even more MUD! The races use natural paths and obstacles, on a route which follows footpaths and trails in the privately-owned ancient woodland of Pipley Wood - naturally water-logged at this time of year - and the lesser used paths, which muddy-up a treat! We will take you along gulleys, up ravines, over fallen trees and under others, negotiating the land as it lies. We promise not to shoot you, electrocute you or cover you in honey and throw in a nest of wasps! Also 3k and kids' races.

A very friendly and well organised event. The bonfire was an added bonus for keeping warm before and after the race. Hog roast bap & pint well received. Great course with varied terrain. 10k 2 laps though. Using park & ride saved worrying about parking and good value. A great selection of after race snacks available and the medal is awesome! Definitely wear trail running shoes for this race. This is a lovely small event with around 300 runners and certainly not one to miss.Did the 10k in 2018
Very muddy, super tough but nice atmosphere and post race reviving hog roast...Did the 10k in 2018
A really fun race. The bonfire before the start was genius! A great atmosphere, plenty of mud and supportive stewards. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun/muddy Sunday morning eventDid the 10k in 2018
Loved the fire on arrival, the muddy maze at the Start, the knee deep mud, the slippery slopes, the rivers, the streets the mud, the hilly uphill sections, the mud. The medals were awesome and the marshals superb. Great event, well organised and I ne that wont disappointDid the 10k in 2018
Thought this was the best event I have done for ages. The whole set up in the woods was brilliant. Birds singing, a fire going, no buildings or pylons in sight. Just a really nice environment. Plenty of marshals and medics on the technical bits to make sure everyone was ok. All round excellent.Did the 10k in 2018
