Route information
This route is mainly along the Avon Valley Path trails. There will be some short road sections and crossings. Expect the trails to be boggy and wet underfoot. Make sure to take in the great views of the night sky as it lights the way to the finish.
This is a fully self-navigational run. Participants are given a GPX file that they can upload to their own GPS navigational device (GPS watch is recommended).

Registrations
Entrants must arrive in plenty of time before their start time to register and pick up their GPS tracker.
Start times
Entrants can choose when they start the Marathon when they pick up their tracker from registration before the event.
Age Requirements
Entrants must be 18 years or older to participate.
Rules
- Runners must have an electronic navigational device capable of uploading a GPX route to and navigating from
- Runners need a support crew to drop them to the start point and pick them up at the finish
- Runners must wear an item of visible reflective material whilst navigating the route
Self-Navigation
Self-Navigation
This is a fully self-navigational run. Participants are to use the issued GPS tracker and the Geo Tracks app alongside their own electronic navigation device to complete the route. A GPS watch with the GPX route loaded into it is highly recommend.

Will there be parking at the Night Nav GPS Marathon?
There will not be parking available, entrants must arrange a support crew to pick them up and drop them off from the start/finish.
What kit do I need for the Night Nav GPS Marathon?
It is recommended that runners bring the following kit: High visibility reflective vest or similar, to be worn at all times on the course, Means of navigation (preferably a GPS watch), Whistle, Compass (make sure it is attached to your kit), Waterproof top, Long trousers or tights, Gloves (waterproofed in a plastic freezer bag), Hat (waterproofed in a plastic freezer bag), Food and water, Small torch with spare batteries, Lightweight piece of warm clothing (waterproofed), A fully charged working mobile phone (waterproofed).
What is the course like for the Night Nav GPS Marathon?
The terrain on the course will predominately be on trails, there will be some boggy parts so make sure to wear appropriate footwear.
