Did the race in 2021
2021 was my second time completing this race. It's a challenging course (especially that vile bit at the end where you approach the cyclopark thinking you're almost finished and then you get sent to run a mini-loop of the cyclopark!) - however, the vile bit at the end is off-set by the preceding very, very pretty scenery. It's extremely well-organised and well marked out. Plenty of refreshment stops along the course. The marshals were all so lovely and encouraging - great camaraderie! I've already popped the 2022 date on my calendar and once the booking reopens I'll be snapping up a place!

A tough course but you are rewarded with stunning scenery, fantastic organisation/support and the BEST homemade cakes - makes it worth the effort!

Great new venue, still a challenging course in beautiful scenery. Very well organised and marshalled.

Because of Covid I have taken part in an event for ages. The new course and distanced starting needed to be done for the event to happen and it was all organised very well. The marshalls were all great and the banana and cakes at the end were well received. The event organiser does everything they can to reduce the impact from the plastic bottles, which I commend. All in all its a great event which I will be doing again.

Great pre-race communication and social media, which helped calm my nerves! Good on-the-day organisation too. The course was very clearly marked all the way round, with helpful paint markings on uneven terrain; the marshals were numerous and friendly. It was a very challenging race, but enjoyable in a world-of-pain kind of way.... Post-race cake and massage was very welcome!

As always a very well organised race, with a fantastic new venue and new course but with many of the old challenges. Brilliant Marshals, great medal and t-shirt,and of course the cakes for which the race is famous!
