Route information
The duathlon course will be entirely within the grounds of Barony Park. Both the run and cycle routes will be on grass. There will be different colour lines for children to follow corresponding with run 1, bike and run 2. Once run 1 is completed, children will get their bikes from the cycle transition and walk to the cycle mount line. They can only get on their bikes once they have crossed the cycle mount line. There will also be a dismount line for when the cycle is completed and children are returning their bikes to the cycle transition.
There are multiple distance on offer for this event.
- Tin - run 100m, bike 1k, run 500m
- Zinc - run 200m, bike 1k, run 500m
- Steel - run 200m, bike 2k, run 1k
- Bronze - run 400m, bike 3k, run 1.5k
- Silver - run 400m, bike 4k, run 2k
- Gold - run 600m, bike 4k, run 2.5k
- Relay Team - run 600m, bike 4k, run 2.5k

Registration
At registration participants will receive their race envelope which includes; race number x1, bike stickers x2, helmet sticker x1, wristbands x2. You are encouraged to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your start time in order to familiarise yourself with the course layout.
Wristbands
In the race envelope there will be 2 wristbands for supporting parents and guardians to wear. Wristbands will permit access into the cycle transition area if helping a competitor. If supporting multiple children at this event, parents or guardians should wear multiple wristbands.
Bikes
Any type of bike can be used so long as it is road-worthy. One bike sticker must go on the front of the handlebars and the other bike sticker must go on the seat stem.
All participants must wear helmets during the bike portion of the duathlon.

- Tin: 5-7 years old on race day
- Zinc: 6-9 years old on race day
- Steel: 8-11 years old on race day
- Bronze: 10-13 years old on race day
- Silver: 12-15 years old on race day
- Gold: 13-16 years old on race day
Relay Team
There is an option to compete as part of a relay team. Only the team captain's information is required when booking.
