Terrain: Tarmac / Grassy Trails
The 5.17-mile course is a loop along the River Nene and around surrounding floor storage reservoirs. Runners will be able to run as many laps as they can within the 6 hour time limit.
A completely off-road route, participants will travel across 45% tarmac and 55% grassy trails.
There will be a small 0.35 mile out and back near the base camp for Marathon runners to complete the full 26.6 mile distance. If you want to complete a half marathon then it's two full laps and a 2.78 mile short lap.

There will be free parking at the event, which is located just a few yards from the start/finish lines. Please only park in the rear and side car parks.
Please register your registration number with the hotel reception upon arrival.
Northampton station is 2.8 miles from the event site.

Race numbers will be available for collection from a meeting room within the hotel. If the weather is good registration may take place at base camp.
Children over the age of 11 are permitted to take part in this event so long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times and do not exceed the following distances.
- Aged 11-12 can run a maximum of 5k
- Aged 13-14 can run a maximum of 6k
- Aged 15 can run a maximum of 10k
- Aged 16 can run a maximum of 15k
- Aged 17 can run a maximum of 25k
You'll visit the aid station after every 5.17 mile lap. This will be fully stocked by the event organiser but you are welcome to leave your own on the table for runner's supplies.
Headphones and Earphones
You will be able to use headphones and earphones during the 6 Hour Challenge. Please have the volume low and be aware of others you are sharing the space with.
What to bring
Trail/hybrid shoes are recommended as while most of the event is run on tarmac, a fair bit is run on grassy trails.
Is there somewhere I can leave my bag at the Northampton Undead Challenge?
There won't be a dedicated bag drop but participants are free to leave their bag at the start/finish.
What if I can't complete the full distance I signed up for at the Northampton Undead Challenge?
That's no problem at all. You only have to complete one 5.17 mile lap in order to finish and collect your medal. All efforts deserve celebrating.
Will there be toilets at the Northampton Undead Challenge?
Yes, toilets are located next to the start/ finish area.
Will there be somewhere to park at the Northampton Undead Challenge?
Yes, parking will be included with entry.
