Route information
Take on the fantastic fireroads of Slaley Forest before heading towards Derwent Reservoir. You will also be taking into the Pennines along 20k of uninterrupted gravel, there will be an optional refuel stop. The top 100 climbs of Cuthbert's Hill but you will be rewarded with the rest of the ride is rolling. Finally, a swift ride across the moors to a final stretch of tarmac as you reach home.

What is the best bike for the Northumberland Gravel Epic?
It is recommended to use an MTB, if you are a good bike handler you may want to use a gravel bike with 40mm tyres.
How do I find out my start time for the Northumberland Gravel Epic?
Riders will start in groups of 6 at a time. You will be emailed after you have booked to choose your start time between 8:00am and 10am. If you are riding with a friend you can choose to start with them.
What happens if I have a mechanical problem with my bike at the Northumberland Gravel Epic?
There will be mechanics at all feed stops to help you and ride captains along the route to offer support, make sure to bring a basic repair kit for small incidences.
