This challenging but memorable Ultra takes place entirely on the Ochil Hills providing stunning views of Central Scotland. The 50 and 30 mile routes on offer are both hilly and will provide a stern test to participants. Come along for a cracking challenge in wonderful surroundings.

Route description

50 Mile

The Long Ultra on offer takes runners 50 miles from Central Perth to Stirling University.

30 Mile

The Short Ultra on offer takes runners 30 miles from Auchterarder to Stirling University. The exact start location will be confirmed closer to the event.

Both races take place entirely along the Ochils, and will take in stunning views across Central Scotland. The Core Path Network that is used on both routes creates a tough but memorable challenge across the mixed terrain.

Logistics and schedule

09:00 30 Mile Race Starts (Auchetrarder)

Registration Details

Details will be sent out two weeks before the event to allow for any late changes.

Age Restrictions

You must be at least 20 years old to take part in either distance.

Mandatory Kit

  • Head torch (can be left at CP4 in your drop bag)
  • Whistle
  • Mobile phone (fully charged)
  • Emergency blanket
  • Emergency Food and Drink
  • All runners will be issued with a GPS tracker which must be carried (relay runners should pass this as a baton)
  • Emergency Contact information on your route notes

The following is also recommended:

  • Waterproofs may be compulsory if the weather is inclement as some of the course is over high tops and can be exposed
  • A map of the route is recommended
  • First aid kit
  • Spare clothes especially socks as there are wet sections (can be left in your drop bags)

Drop bags

You are responsible for your own drop bags before and after the race. Wee Run Events takes no responsibility for loss or damage to your drop bags whilst it is being conveyed to checkpoints and during the race.

You are recommended to pack the items you need at each checkpoint in a plastic sealable freezer bags, or similar. Do not pack in expensive bags or something that you would be devastated to lose.
