Starting from the centre of Knaresborough, this chip timed race will climb gently up through park land onto the old railway track between Knaresborough and Harrogate. The terrain for this event is great underfoot, making for a fast out and back, perfect for hitting a new PB.

Yes, the cut off time for this event is 6.5 hours, meaning all runners must finish their race by 4pm.
Race Pack
Race packs must be collected on the morning of the event from registration, which will be held next to the canal.
Age Restrictions
You must be aged 18 and over to enter in the 10k, Half Marathon, 20 miles and Marathon races.
You must be aged 21 and over to enter the Ultra race.

Not enough space in main car park, had to park a fair bit away. Fantastic cakes and beer afterwards made up for it though 🤗

Good clear marshal instructions and support. Lovely to be offered finish line goodies, the cakes were amazing.Only criticism was no cups at the water stations

First Grim Up North event and wow did not disappoint. Great day, fab organisation, good atmosphere, good medal and the cakes were lush. Route good too. Definitely will return.

Great undulating route, with plenty of flat trail to complement the ups and downs. Good scenery and due to the variety of races going off at different times you are never running on your own.Loved the potatoes on the aid station. Nice touch.Fantastic chocolate cake and beer at the end.
