Route information
Run in parallel with Phoenix Running's Ten in Ten and Twenty in Twenty Running Series, the Once Upon a Run race promises a friendly atmosphere for storybook-loving runners looking for a new challenge.
The route will be an out-and-back 5.3km jaunt along the River Thames towpath, offering scenic riverside views for the entirety of the course. Runners will have a 7 hour time limit to run as little as one lap, or as much as they possibly can within the 7 hours. The flat and fast course also provides a great opportunity to set a PB over whatever distance you choose.
The beauty of this race is that you do not have to make this tough decision of how far you will run until you start running. It's simple, if you feel good, there's no reason to stop.
