About
The Outlaw Half Bowood Weekend takes place in stunning Wiltshire countryside at the home to the Marquis and Marchioness of Lansdowne. The Estate has 100 acres of beautifully landscaped ‘Capability’ Brown parkland and a spectacular mile long still-water lake. The weekend features the Outlaw Half Bowood middle-distance triathlon, as well as running events for kids and adults.

Outlaw Triathlon:
1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run

Swim: Single lap lake swim
Bike: Fast with some short, sharp climbs and descents

This 1.2 mile swim will be in the private Bowood Lake. The swim will be a single looped course with a deep water start. There will be just a few turns to navigate but plenty of opportunities to get off to a speedy start to your triathlon.
The undulating, one-lap 56 mile bike course will take participants on a scenic ride through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. There'll be an 'honest' mix of flat sections and punchy climbs. The stunning Wiltshire route will take participants through the heart of the historic site of Avebury and provide some great views of the Wilshire White Horses.
Participants will finish with a 3 lap, traffic-free 13.1 mile/half marathon run around the Bowood Estate. Be prepared for some gentle undulation alongside the stunning scenery and crowd support. Enjoy an incredible reception at the finish line as the crowd roars participants home.

This single-lap 10k will take place entirely in the grounds of Bowood House and Gardens. The route will take runners along the estate's roads, tracks and trails with some hills to climb. The climbs will be worth it with stunning views across the lake. There will be an orange carpet finish back in front of the main house.
Future Outlaw
Distances: Mini 1.2 mile or Junior 2.4 mile

Aimed at getting the next generation to enjoy and participate in endurance sports events. Both distances will take routes in the Bowood Hous and Gardens estate and have an epic orange carpet finish in front of the main house.

Race Packs
- Outlaw Half Bowood Triathlon: Race packs will need to be collected on Saturday. Race packs will include race numbers, a security wristband, stickers, timing chips, and a swim cap.
- Bowood 10k: Participants will have their race packs posted. Late entries will need to collect their race pack on the day.
- Future Outlaw 1.2mi & 2.4mi: All future outlaw participants must collect their race packs on the day of the race.
Please bring photo ID when collecting packs.
Age Requirements
- Outlaw Half Bowood Triathlon: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older by 31/12/22 to participate
- Bowood 10k: Entrants must be 15 years of age or older by 31/12/22 to participate
- Future Outlaw Bowood - Mini 2.4 Mile: Entrants must be ages 8 to 15 by 31/12/22 to participate
- Future Outlaw Bowood - Mini 1.2 Mile: Entrants must be ages 4 to 14 by 31/12/22 to participate
Parents can run with their children in the Future Outlaw races if they wish.
Triathlon Bike Racking
All bike racking will take place on Saturday only. There are no other options and you must bring photo ID with you.
Outlaw Elite Wave Information
Male and female elite athletes will start together in the first wave of the day. These athletes are not eligible for age group prizes.
Cut-Off Times
Outlaw Triathlon:
Swim - 1 hour 10 minutes after your wave start, with a further 10 minutes allowed to reach bike mount
Bike - 5 hours 20 minutes after your wave start
Run - 9 hours after your wave start
Swim - 1 hour 10 minutes after your wave start, with a further 10 minutes allowed to reach bike mount

If you miss the cut-off time, you will not be allowed to continue with the triathlon.

BTF Membership
BTF is the British Triathlon Federation and they require participants to be insured when participating in permitted events. If you already have BTF membership and race licence, just enter your affiliation number at the checkout. Alternatively, you can purchase a day licence for £6, payable at the checkout.
Aid stations
Drink or feedstations will be available at all events (except Future Outlaw Mini).
Spectator Info
On race day there will be a great atmosphere with plenty of places to cheer during the race, including at the finish line. Each triathlete will have a live tracker so family and friends can track their progress.
Bowood House and Gardens have plenty of space for visitors to enjoy. The Event Village will have plenty of options for eating and a range of exhibitors. Dogs on lead are welcome on site.
