The latest addition to the Outlaw series, the Outlaw Half Woburn Weekend takes place in beautiful grounds of Woburn Abbey, home of the Duke of Bedford. Enjoy racing in the stunning Deer parks surrounding the Estate (though we will keep you clear of the safari park!). The weekend features the Outlaw Half Woburn middle-distance triathlon, as well as running events for kids and adults.

Route information

Outlaw Half Woburn Weekend
Swim 1.2 miles, Bike Course 58 miles, Run Course 13.1 miles

The swim course will take place across two lakes with an Aussie exit, which will take you from one to the next before heading out of the estate on the bike. Make sure to conserve your energy as you race, as you'll still have to cover 58 miles on the bike and 13.1 miles on foot.

The bike route will begin with a fantastic fast descent which will be perfect for helping you pick up some pace. This course will be rolling throughout which will have you climbing 2345ft. This course is perfect for a TT bike.

The run course will be three laps of the estate on roads and paths on the grounds of the estate. There are plenty of out-and-back sections where you'll be able to see other competitors. You will also run laps around the lake which is a perfect place to take in the roar of the crowds before finishing in front of Woburn Abbey.

Woburn 10k

The Woburn 10k will take place on the grounds of Woburn Abbey, this will be a great event for all runners to take on no matter their ability. Make sure to come along for the finish in front of the majestic Woburn Abbey.

Distances: 1.2 mile or 2.4 mile

Aimed at getting the next generation to enjoy and participate in endurance sports events. Both distances will have a great orange carpet finish outside Woburn Abbey.

06:00 Outlaw Half Woburn Triathlon first wave starts (individuals will receive their personal start time nearer the event)

Race Packs

Outlaw Half Woburn Triathlon: Race Packs must be collected from Registration prior to racking bikes on Saturday. Race packs will include race numbers, a security wristband, stickers, timing chips and a swim cap.
Woburn 10k: Participants will have their race packs posted. Late entries will need to collect their race pack on the day.
Future Outlaw 1.2mi & 2.4mi: All Future Outlaw participants must collect their race packs from Registration on the day of the race.

Please bring Photo ID when collecting Race Packs

Age Requirements

Outlaw Half Woburn Triathlon: Participants must be 18 years of age or older by 31st December 2023
Relay participants must meet the minimum age for the discipline (Swim - 12 years by 31 Dec 2023, Bike - 18 by 31 Dec 2023, Run - 17 years on event day)
Woburn 10k: Participants must be 15 years old on the day of the event
Future Outlaw 1.2 mile: Participants must be 4-14 years old by the event date
Future Outlaw 2.4 mile: Participants must be 8-15 years old by the event day

Triathlon Bike Racking

All athletes must register and rack their bikes on Saturday - there is no option to rack on the morning of the race. You must bring a photo ID with you when collecting your pack.

Cut-off times

Swim: 1 hour 10 minutes after your wave starts, with a further 10 minutes allowed to reach your bike mount
Bike: 5 hours 20 minutes after your wave starts
Run: 9 hours after your wave starts

If you miss the cut-off time, you will not be allowed to continue with the triathlon.

Woburn 10k: Participants must complete the course within 2 hours of the race start

Race day insurance

BTF is the British Triathlon Federation and they require Triathlon participants to be insured when participating in permitted events. If you already have BTF membership and a race licence, just enter your affiliation number at the checkout. Alternatively, you can purchase a day licence for £6, payable at the checkout.

Drink or feed stations will be available at all events (except Future Outlaw Mini).

Spectator Info

On race day there will be a great atmosphere with plenty of places to cheer during the race, including at the finish line. Each triathlete will have a live tracker so family and friends can track their progress.

The Woburn Estate has plenty of space for visitors to enjoy. The Event Village will have plenty of options for eating and a range of exhibitors. Dogs on lead are welcome on site.

There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved in the event as part of our amazing volunteer team who make everything possible!

When should | arrive for the Outlaw Half Woburn Weekend?

All participants are invited to enjoy the full weekend of races and activities. Entrants for the triathlon must register and rack their bike a day early on the Saturday. If you are racing in one of the Saturday events, please allow yourself plenty of time to arrive, collect your race pack and prepare for your event.
