Outlaw Nottingham, and the original Outlaw is the big one. An award-winning full distance triathlon covering a 2.4mile open water swim, 112mile bike and 26.2mile run! The Outlaw Nottingham Weekend also features an aquabike option, sprint distance aquathlon and kid's run events. All this alongside camping, country park adventure activities and plenty to keep spectators and family entertained before they get the opportunity to cheer you on as you finish on the famous orange carpet.

Route information
The original Outlaw! Outlaw Nottingham Weekend hosts our award-winning long-distance event, Outlaw Nottingham, affectionately known as "the Full.” The 2025 edition will once again be hosted at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. There are events for everyone as well as our lively event village overlooking the famous orange carpet, so bring your family and friends to enjoy the Outlaw experience.
Saturday will host the Outlaw Nottingham Aquathlon and the Future Outlaw running event for younger family members.
Sunday will see the Outlaw Nottingham Triathlon take place alongside the Aquabike event. Outlaw Nottingham comprises of a 2.4mile swim, 112mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. The course is famously fast and flat, making it ideal for those tackling this distance for the first time or those looking for PB. A relay option is available for the triathlon if you want to take part with family or friends. The long distance Aquabike event is perfect for those who want to go long without the run discipline.

Outlaw Nottingham Triathlon
2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run
The swim takes place in the Regatta lake at the National Water Sports Centre with the incredible spectacle that is a mass start. The swim is easy to navigate with an out and back course which exits close to transition. The 112-mile bike course takes you along a relatively flat route out into the Nottinghamshire countryside, before returning via Holme Pierrepont Hall for the final leg of the race. The 26.2 mile run is largely flat, taking in the Regatta Lake, White Water Park and along the River Trent path. You'll pass the finish line a couple of times before you can finally enjoy the roar of the crowd as you head onto the orange carpet. Up to 2 family members or friends can join you to celebrate your finish. This event can be done as an individual or join in with friends and complete it as a 2 or 3 person Relay

Outlaw Nottingham Aquabike
2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike
This event follows the same swim and bike route as the Outlaw Nottingham Triathlon. Your race finish time will be taken when you cross the timing mat as you return to transition after your bike leg. Once you have racked you can then walk, jog or run to the orange carpet for a Grandstand finish and collect your medal. The swim takes place in the Regatta Lake at the National Water Sports Centre with the incredible spectacle that is a mass start. The swim is easy to navigate with an out and back course which exits close to transition. The 112-mile bike course takes you along a relatively flat route out into the Nottinghamshire countryside before returning via Holme Pierrepoint Hall and completing your event. Aquabike is ideal for those who want to challenge themselves and enjoy the Outlaw experience, but either don't want to or find themselves unable to run.
Minimum Age: Participants must be 19 by 31 December 2025
Outlaw Aquathlon
750m swim, 5km run
This open water sprint distance Aquathlon comprises a 750m swim in Regatta Lake followed by flat 5km run, all within the traffic-free grounds of the National Water Sports Centre and Holme Pierrepoint Country Park. The swim will be easy to navigate while the flat run offers the promise of a fast performance before finishing on the orange carpet.
Minimum Age: 15 years on 31 December 2025.
Future Outlaw Nottingham
The Future Outlaw focuses on fun and participation, getting the next generation of Outlaws involved in the fun of the weekend. This popular children’s running event offers a choice of a 1 or 2 laps, which are easy to navigate and finish on the orange carpet in front of the grandstand. Parents are welcome to run with their children if they wish.
Mini - 1.2 miles, ages 4-14 or Junior - 2.4 miles, ages 8-15 on race day

The National Water Sports Centre operates an ANPR parking system, and you need to purchase the relevant parking tickets via Park PCM for the days you will be attending the event site. Please remember that those racing on Sunday are required to register and rack on Saturday. You can purchase tickets in advance via their website using code 4455. To purchase a weekend (2 day) ticket, please select SATURDAY 26 JULY and choose the Weekend option.
Camping
Onsite camping can be booked directly via the National Water Sports Centre. This is very popular so you are advised to book early.
Hotels
There is a wide range of hotels and accommodation in nearby West Bridgford and the City Centre.
Event day logistics
Race Pack Collection
Race pack collection for all events will be at the Event Village on Saturday (packs will not be posted). Photo ID will be required for all Race Pack collection as well as presentation of a valid BTF licence or Race Pass purchase for the Aquathlon, Outlaw Nottingham and Aquabike. Future Outlaw Race Packs will contain a race number with timing chip embedded. All other Race Packs will include Race Numbers, Security Wristband, Stickers, Timing Chip and Swim Hat.
Bike Racking
**All racking takes place on Saturday - there is no racking on Sunday morning**
Bikes must be stickered and participants must be wearing their wristband in order to rack their bike and access Transition via the security Check In. Outlaw Nottingham and Aquabike participants will be required to rack on Saturday (the day before their race) once they have collected their Race Pack from Registration.
Start Times
On Saturday, the Aquathlon will begin at 10:00 and the Future Outlaw at 15:00 (with Juniors setting off just ahead of Minis). All Saturday races will be a mass start. Wetsuit requirements for the Aquathlon will be determined on the day according to BTF rules.
On Sunday, the swim for Outlaw Nottingham and Aquabike will be a mass start at 06:00 and will be wetsuit mandatory.
Cut Off Times
We want to support everyone to have a great race however race cut offs exist so that we can manage athlete safety, meet our commitments to the Venue, the Highways Agency and our team of volunteers and crew. Always refer to the Final Race Information for the confirmed cut off details however our expected cut offs for these events are:
Aquathlon
• Swim: 30 minutes after start to exit the water
• Run: 1 hour 30 minutes after start to cross the finish
Outlaw Nottingham / Aquabike
• Swim: must be completed 2 hours 20 minutes after the race starts, with a further 10 minutes to reach the bike mount
• Bike: must be completed 10 hours after the race starts with 10 minutes to reach the run start
• Run: 17 hours after your wave starts
There will also be interim cut offs on the bike and run course
On Course Nutrition
Water will be available at all events. Feed stations at all triathlon events will be offered HIGH5 Source drink and HIGH5 gels plus the Outlaw Triathlon and Aquabike Bike feedstations will also have HIGH5 Zero and Isogels (caffeine and caffeine free), flat cola and bananas; Run feedstations will also have salted crisps and jaffa cakes.
Race Licence
All participants in the triathlon, aquathlon and aquabike events will be required to present either a valid BTF race licence (available with BTF membership) or purchase a Race Pass as part of their entry (to be presented in conjunction with photo ID)
Facilities
Sunday participants will have access to a private changing area within the change tent and will also have space to store non racing kit in Dry Bags (kit MUST be contained within the bags provided). There will be a bag drop next to Transition for the Aquathlon on Saturday.
There are also shower and storage facilities available from the National Water Sports Centre - please contact them directly or ask at reception. Transition areas have restricted access to other participants, staff and volunteers. Items will be left at the participants own risk or please make arrangements with friends and family members.
