Overload Run routes

OVERLOAD is an obstacle and mud run which you can run on your own or as part of a team. As the name suggests, this obstacle race is overloaded with challenges, packing a whopping 40 obstacles into a loop that is 5-6k long. This event offers something for the whole family, from obstacle course veterans to those looking to accomplish something new, you will walk away from this experience with a smile.

For those looking for speed, there will be a UKOCR trophy race wave with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female who complete all the obstacles and are first past the post.

Following this wave are the open waves, where runners are encouraged to challenge themselves to go out of their comfort zone, and try to complete every obstacle thrown at them along the way. This is a chance to run the same course as fast or as slow as you want, join your friends, run with the family or run alone. Everyone is welcome to run, each lap will be around 5-6k long and you can run more than one lap at no extra cost.

The terrain of this course has it all, runners will have to wade through water, pull themselves out of sticky mud, carry their teammates or heavy objects, and all in all push their limits over challenging terrain.

1 loop is do-able so long as you can run or walk a parkrun - however will your mental state let you get over, under or through some of our obstacles

2 loops are race distance - take your time and enjoy it with friends or race it and feel the burn

3 loops - This is where it starts to get serious, that's 120 obstacles and 15k minimum

4 loops - Only 3 people to date have managed this in the 3-hour time limit

5 loops - This has never been done, will you be the first to conquer it?

There will be first aiders and medical team on the day. Marshals will be posted around the course. If you do become injured please make your way to the medical tent for help, if you are unable to make your way to the medical tent then please raise the alarm with the nearest marshal who will seek help for you. OVERLOAD strives to prevent injury and ensure that all obstacles are safe yet challenging. Please advise on the day if there has been any change to your medical history or if you are suffering from any injuries.
