This is an obstacle and mud run that you can run on your own or as part of a team. The terrain of this course has it all, runners will have to wade through water, pull themselves out of sticky mud, carry their teammates or heavy objects, and all in all, push their limits over challenging terrain.
For those looking for speed, there will be a UKOCR trophy race wave with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female who complete all the obstacles and are first past the post.
Loops
1 loop is do-able so long as you can run or walk a park run - however will your mental state let you get over, under or through some of our obstacles
2 loops are race distance - take your time and enjoy it with friends or race it and feel the burn
3 loops - This is where it starts to get serious, that's 120 obstacles and 15k minimum
4 loops - Only 3 people to date have managed this in the 3-hour time limit
5 loops - This has never been done, will you be the first to conquer it?

Parking
There is on-site parking at the event and a £5 parking fee. Roads in the area are very narrow. Please do not park on the verges or block driveways or roads etc. as your vehicle will be removed.
Please note that payment for parking is cash only. There are no cash machines available on site so remember to bring cash with you on the day.
Please make sure you park your vehicle safely and securely. OVERLOAD cannot be held liable for theft or damage to your vehicle caused whilst at the event.
Camping (Friday & Saturday)
Camping will be available Friday and Saturday night for only £10 per person. With this, you will get a premium parking spot right next to the event village, separate utilities, and easy access to showers. You can even bring a small BBQ to cook up a storm at night.
By Public Transport
Unfortunately, this venue is not easily accessible by public transport, with the nearest train station (Derby) situated 9 miles away. From Derby, you can ride the swift bus for 34 stops, alighting at Luke Lane. The event is a 25-minute walk from there.

*Please arrive at least an hour before your wave to allow time to park, register, attach your race number and warm up.
Waves
Entrants will set off in different waves, with the first set starting at 10am and the last group setting off at 11:30am.
If you think it will take you longer than 2h 30m to complete the course, it is advised you enter an earlier wave.
Event Registration
The Registration Tent will be set up in the Event Village and is where you will need to pick up your bib number and running wristband for your wave. You’ll be asked to provide an ID to confirm your registrations details.
Do not forget your ID – if you can’t provide it at registration you won’t be able to take part in the event.
Event Village
The event village will be set up in the field next to the car park. With food and drink for both runners and spectators, it's set to be a great atmosphere.
Please note that payment for the event village facilities is cash only. There are no cash machines available on site so remember to bring cash with you on the day

You have to be 8 or older on the day of the run in order to participate.

Most of the obstacles are all within 5 minutes of the event village, promising that spectators will have entertainment for the whole day.
FAQs
Will I be able to store my belongings at the Overload Run?
Its recommended that you leave any valuables in your vehicle and ensure they are not on show. A valuables tent will be available on the day. The OVERLOAD event cannot take responsibility for vehicles or personal belongings in the car park or any valuables left with them on the day.

Will medical help be available on the day at the Overload Run?
There will be first aiders and medical team on the day in the event village. Marshals will also be posted around the course. If you become injured on the course please make your way to the medical tent, or tell the nearest marshal that is close to you.

Can I bring my dog to the Overload Run?
Only well-behaved animals will be allowed on site in designated areas and must be kept on a leash at all times.

What facilities will be provided at the Overload Run?
In the event village, participants and spectators will find toilets, a number of food and drink stalls, and merchandise pop-ups. For runners, there will be water stations halfway around the course.

What is the age limit for Overload?
You have to be 8 or older on the day of the run in order to participate in the event.

Could the Overload Run be cancelled due to awful weather?
The event will only be cancelled if the weather is deemed unsafe to run in. If not, the weather becomes just another obstacle for you to overcome.

Is the Overload Run timed?
Timing chips will not be provided on the day. If you are a competitive runner it's recommended you time yourself, and make sure any watches you wear are waterproof and shockproof to prevent damage.

Do you have to complete the Overload course?
The run is supposed to challenge you to your limits and feel the great sense of accomplishment to completing the obstacle course. If you find you are struggling, other competitors and marshals are more than willing to help you so you can accomplish your goals. If you find you simply are unable to complete an obstacle, you do not have to complete it. Please speak to the nearest marshal if you feel as though you are unable to complete the course.
