Route information
Based at Ower Shooting Ground just outside the village of Ower on the edge of the New Forest National Park, this trail-running event offers both 5k and 10k distances, with canicross options for both.
Enjoy incredible views of open countryside and woodland as you run solo or with your dog along the mixed terrain route, completing 1 lap of the course for the 5k and 2 laps for the 10k. The route is fully signposted and marshalled.
The event also features a 2k Kids' race, so is the perfect opportunity to bring the whole family along.

By Car
Ower Shooting Ground is a short, 22-minute drive from Southampton via the A33. It is also easily accessible via the A36 from Salisbury, and via the A31 from Bournemouth.
Parking
Free parking is available on-site.
By Public Transport
The closest station is Totton Station, which has regular services to Bournemouth, Basingstoke and Poole. Ower Shooting Ground can be reached from Totton Station by catching the X7 bus towards Salisbury, alighting at the Vine Inn.
Camping
Overnight camping from the 24th-25th is available on-site at Ower Shooting Ground at an additional cost of £15 per tent.
Camping arrivals will be from 12:00 on the Friday 24th and departure anytime on Saturday 25th. There will be no shower facilities onsite, but there are toilets.
BBQs are welcome but not directly on the grass. Food vans will also be present from Saturday morning.
Tents, campers, caravans and horse lorries are permitted. Generators are allowed, but please be aware of noise.

For the Canicross races, faster dogs will start at 09:00 with 20-second start times, and small waves will be released every 30 seconds.
Age Requirements
Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in the 5k and 10k races.
No age restrictions apply to the 2k Kids' race, but children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult to and from the event, with the adult remaining in attendance for the duration. Adults are not required to participate with under 16s in the event itself.
Dogs
Those not taking part in the event with their dog must keep their dog on a lead during the day. Dog waste should be collected and disposed of in the skip by the track.
For those taking part in the Canicross 5k or 10k, correct harnesses are required, and no collars are tolerated. Race entry may be forfeited with no refund if incorrect equipment is used as this is an animal welfare issue.
Public liability insurance is required for all Canicross runners, and proof may be required to be shown on the day.

By participating in this event, you confirm that you are fit, healthy and fit enough for the event you are booked to run. You are responsible for informing the organiser of any medical or non-medical details that may affect your safety and enjoyment of the event.

Make sure you select a Canicross ticket when booking. Prior to the event, ensure you have public liability insurance to cover you and your dog, and bring the correct harness - no collars are tolerated.
