Route information

Starting at the iconic Lee Valley VeloPark, home to the London Olympic cycling events, we are working on a beautiful route for you on rural roads which will finish in stunning Cambridge.

Our amazing start point at Lee Valley VeloPark will create the perfect pre-cycle buzz you’ll need. You will then head north-east to open Hertfordshire and Essex countryside. These lovely country roads are some of the most scenic the Home Counties have to offer.

There will be two break points en route, where you’ll find snacks, lunch, toilets, water, as well as medics and mechanics.
We’ll skirt the historical city of Cambridge before heading into the finish line. Here you’ll be cheered in and be greeted by your supporters and receive a well deserved medal and a glass of something bubbly!

What if I suffer a mechanical problem?
You are advised to get your bike thoroughly serviced and a bike MOT conducted at your local cycle shop before joining the ride. There will be professional bike mechanics on hand at the start for last-minute tweaks (not servicing) and also at break stops for problems incurred along the route. These mechanics also patrol the route in support vehicles and will stop to assist as required.

How tough is the challenge?
The ride is fairly challenging and so you must train and be prepared for long stints in the saddle between break-stops!We also advise that you have previously trained and cycled in urban areas and ideally with other cyclists, so that you can experience the same conditions as on the event.
