Route information
Long Route:
The long route on this non-competitive sportive will ride out at 08:15 and takes riders through the rolling hills of the Essex countryside all the way from King George's Hospital to Hatfield Heath and back. The ride will be 89km long, and should be taken at whatever pace suits you.
Short Route:
If 89km sounds a little daunting, join for the short route which starts at 09:00. The ride will take you 72km around the edge of Chipping Ongar and the Epping Forest before taking you back to the start line, where a hot meal will await you after your great effort.
Aid Stations:
There will be aid stations serving hot and cold food at 20 miles, 40 miles, and at the start/finish line.

No the event is a non-competitive event as the main goal is to raise money for the hospital.
Will the course for pedals 4 patients be marked?
Yes, the whole route will be signposted so you will not get lost.
Is there any mandatory kit for the pedal 4 patients ride?
All you need is a road-worthy bike and helmet. Please be aware the ride will be on open roads so wearing headphones is not recommended.
