Logistics and schedule

Registration will open at 8am until 9am for the 50-mile bike ride.

For the 35- and 15-mile routes riders can register and set off from 9am until 11am.

Facilities in Admirals Park will not be available for riders after 5.00pm.

Registration
On arrival riders will be asked to come to the registration desk to sign in and collect their rider numbers and emergency contact numbers required for the day.

Rider Numbers
Riders will collect 2 Rider Numbers from registration when they sign in. One number is to be worn on the front of the cycling jersey and the one on the front of the bike, ideally on the handle bars. This is very important for rider’s safety and to ensure riders are identifiable to the Land Rover recovery units and Safety team. We supply cable ties to secure the numbers to the bike.

Riders will hand in their rider number at the finish to the organisers so that all cyclists are accounted for at the end of the event.

Refreshments & Facilities

There will be refreshments available to purchase, toilet facilities and a bike maintenance team for any riders wishing to use the service.

Medical Support
We will have a full medical team in attendance, EDMS Medical Services will be based on the route and back at the start and finish. EDMS are Havens Hospices chosen medical provider for all events.

Bike Maintenance
We recommend that riders carry a spare inner tube, tyre levers, pump and a puncture repair kit, lightweight folding multi-tool and water/windproof jacket, some money and a mobile phone. Riders who need assistance will be instructed to call the emergency number, there will be Land Rover recovery team out on the route on the day.

Spectators

Fun for all the Family
Admirals Park is a great venue to host Pedal for The J’s, there is plenty for the whole family to do. In the park there is a children’s play area along with plenty of open space for a game of football, frisbee or just to run around. With a network of footpaths and cycleways linking the parkland with the surrounding areas, visitors can take a walk long the River Can which meanders its way through the park. In addition to all that’s on offer in the park there will be organised activities for the youngsters, we look forward to welcoming the whole family to the event.
